In Jan 2012 I am off to begin a new adventure. This one I plan to not plan. Instead of having a route laid out ahead of time, I look forward to simply pointing the van only in the direction the wind blows and roll with it.
Since it is winter here in Colorado, my first compass heading will be to follow the birds, south. There are places in New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona I’d like to visit but there are also places in southern Utah too. So, when the day comes to crank up the engine in the van, the weather will dictate if I end up in New Mexico or Utah. From there, I will let the wind tell me where to go…
I do wish to be back in Colorado in late March to pickup Timmy for his Spring Break from school. From there I must head North-East into South Dakota to register as a resident an get my driver’s license. This works out well as I still have not been able to get up to Glacier National Park and I am not going another year without visiting it. A trip into SD may prompt a visit to some family in Iowa and then friends in Chicago… and heck if I am that far East who knows where I may be come next winter.
