What is Boondocking? Boondocking is free “off the grid” camping, generally out in the boonies in our National Forests, or BLM lands. It is often refereed too when ‘parking-lot camping’ at your local Walmart, K-mart, etc. However, I will stick with the truest sense of the word… “out in the boonies”.
I am limited by my need for daily Internet as my work requires me to be online multiple time each day for multiple hours. So while I may get to boondock, it still has to be within a few miles of a cell tower to get my Internet. I am also limited by my vehicle, which is not intended for off-roading. Some dirt roads are fine, but out in the true untraveled country I do not get to go.
