Oct 16 – Zion Ntnl Park, Taylor Creek hike

Ugh! Im tired… after another 5 miles of great trail today I am beyond beat. The Northern part of Zion is much quieter with only about 10% of the traffic of the main canyon down south. Even with less traffic, it was rare that I had the trail to myself.

I’m off to bed, but here are some pictures of the fall colors and the pay-off at the end of the trail; a double-arch alcove. You can easily fit a large house in there.

Afterwards, I drove to a truck stop to refuel and get my evening work done. Then only made another 50 miles before pulling over. I still have some mileage in the morning to get to Bryce Canyon Ntnl Park where I hope to have the legs for another 6 miles of hiking… whoa boy.

Mileage totals: 8 days | 926 miles driven | 20.5 miles hiked
