Timmy and I took the short* drive to the Golden Gate NRA, just north of the bridge. I once visited the old bunkers and gun nests that date well before WW2 when I was a teen out partying with my mates. Though we were unable to view many of the bunkers (roads were closed off) we did get the jist of it, and Timmy got some great views of the Pacific Ocean and the GGB.
* “short” in CA is is defined in miles, not length of time. What should have been a 30 minute drive easily became 90 minutes.
